Title: Down a Country Road Pdf
A small town contemporary romance about unexpected love and second chances. . .

The very last thing on Grier McAllister's Someday List is going back to Timbell Creek, Virginia, the town where she grew up. Timbell Creek holds too many bad memories for her, memories finally put to rest with a successful image consultant business in New York City and a hefty therapy bill. When an opportunity to choose a "Jane Austen Girl" for a visiting duke falls in her lap, the only catch that she must be from Grier's hometown, Grier tells herself she'll do what she needs to do and then leave it all behind for good.

But Grier doesn't count on finding that her mother is no longer the person she used to be. She certainly doesn't plan on falling for an old boyfriend's really hot brother! And it isn't long before she begins to realize Timbell Creek is not only a part of who she was, but might be a part of who she is as well.

***

★★★★★ I loved this book. . .I honestly believe that I could turn around right now and read it again. It is that good! I have read almost all of Inglath Cooper's books and have loved each and every one of theml. If you have not read her books, I highly suggest you get started and I hope that you won't mind leaving some of the house work undone for a while because "you will be reading"! LOL

★★★★★ Makes you want to read more. I love this author. This is the 7th book I've read of hers. I'm hooked! I've got my daughter and sister hooked as well. I loved this story of a small town girl who ventured into the big city to change her circumstances. I loved the character of Grier being a strong independent woman. . .This book is filled with happiness, sadness, forgiveness, and staying true to who you are. Can't wait to read another book of Inglath Cooper's!

★★★★★ Wonderful. I absolutely loved this story and everything I've read by Inglath Cooper. This story was so compelling and beautifully written. I enjoy my Kindle, but wish I also had her books in paper form to re-read and savor.

★★★★★ Great page turner. Wonderful love story. I enjoyed every page of this book and hated for it to end.

★★★★★ If I could, I would give this 10 stars! I have found a new author! I love the way she keeps you interested from the first page to the last! I will be reading more of her books! Thank you.

★★★★★  Couldn't put it down. Nothing like a good romance with good characters that pull you into the story with them. Highly recommend this book!

★★★★★ Cared about the characters. I enjoyed this book a lot. The characters were believable and interesting. I cared what was happening to them and wanted to get to know them better. I liked that the book relied on a good story line and characters rather than just a series of steamy scenes. Will look for others by this author.

An Okay Read... I had high expectations for this book. (Probably a little too high considering it was .99) If you like a very "clean" romance, you probably will like it. The setting for most of the book is small town Timbell Creek, Virginia, although the heroine is from New York City. So it goes...girl leaves small town for the big city and then goes back to small town when she really doesn't want to ~ you get the idea. You can relate to the characters and the characters are well-developed. However, there were certain parts of the book that made big jumps without enough detail given to the progression of events. There are no details to any of the intimate moments, which makes it a very "clean" romance for me. The hero, Billy Jack really does not "romance" the heroine, Grier. From the book blurb that I read, it described Billy Jack as a much more serious Bradley Cooper so I was expecting at least a few fireworks. (Fireworks just weren't there for me.) All in all it was an okay clean read with no fireworks or steamy moments in the book. Honestly, in a romance novel, I like a few intimate details without it having to be X-rated.Very clean, well written book. Highly recommend. Wonderful story with lots of insight on relationships and feelings. This book is so relatable with the problems of teens to the hurt of the past and finally about forgivness. I liked how the main characters didn't just hop into bed like so many other books. These characters developed their relationship and you got an insight into what they were feeling. I really can't think of anything to criticize about the book. A very clean well written book. If you like that happy satified feeling when you get to the last page - this is the book for you. Definitely 5 stars.Another book by Inglath Cooper I love the stories Another book by Inglath Cooper I love the stories. Story of a small town girl who goes to NYC makes it good, then the progress that take her back to her home town. Gries founds the whole thing crazy doesn't want to do it but feels it is her job so she continues. She falls in love, meets her Moma. Love, sadness, death but thru it all Gries rely's she only feel at home in the small town. with the people she loves.

Final Gifts Pdf

ISBN: 1451667256
Title: Final Gifts Pdf Understanding the Special Awareness, Needs, and Communications of the Dying
Author: Maggie Callanan
Published Date: 2012-02-14
Page: 224

“Treasure–clear, authentic, responsible, and profoundly moving.” —Sandol Stoddard, author of The Hospice Movement “Beautifully written, illuminating and reassuring…Final Gifts is truly a gift to us all.” —Judy Tatelbaum, author of The Courage to Grieve “These richly told stories enable us to respond to the dying in new and authentic ways.” —Ira R. Byock, M.D., author of Dying Well: The Prospect for Growth at the End of Life Maggie Callanan has specialized in the care of the dying since 1981. She lectures widely to lay and professional audiences on death and dying, bereavement, and hospice care. Maggie is also the author of Final Journeys. She lives on the New England coast.Patricia Kelley has worked in hospice care since 1978. She formerly held positions as Clinical Director of Montgomery Hospice in Maryland and as Director of Health Systems Leadership at the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She now works as a national and international consultant providing education and training on issues relating to hospice and palliative care. Patricia is also the author of Companion to Grief: Finding Consolation When Someone You Love Has Died.

In this moving and compassionate classic—now updated with new material from the authors—hospice nurses Maggie Callanan and Patricia Kelley share their intimate experiences with patients at the end of life, drawn from more than twenty years’ experience tending the terminally ill.

Through their stories we come to appreciate the near-miraculous ways in which the dying communicate their needs, reveal their feelings, and even choreograph their own final moments; we also discover the gifts—of wisdom, faith, and love—that the dying leave for the living to share.

Filled with practical advice on responding to the requests of the dying and helping them prepare emotionally and spiritually for death, Final Gifts shows how we can help the dying person live fully to the very end.

Insightful I am a nurse, appreciate the insights shared from this book & the individual stories shared. The grace and beauty the dying bestow on us amazes me. This book enlightens the process of dying for the ones actively doing it, the family-/loved one's dealing with the difficulty of losing their loved one, and for those of us caring for patients and families in the midst of death. We all know death is a vital life experience and this book helps us learn that we need not fear death or those dying. To me, this book gives a perspective of hope, understanding, respect and reverence for easing, comforting, assisting the dying and families who are sharing in the experience.Understanding the needs... I was given a copy of this book to read by the social worker at the hospice when my brother was dying. Words cannot express my gratitude to the author (and the social worker!) for sharing this wonderful book. It provided stories relevant to the communication of the dying patient. It comforts as well as informs. The biggest takeaway I got was that a dying person has a “to-do list” before they are ready to go. Examples of those who prefer to pass with family around, and those who prefer to pass on their own. I learned so much. I now own a spare copy for family/friends in the event they face this situation.Such a helpful book! My mother was nearing the end of a nearly 7-year battle with advanced breast cancer, when I found this wonderful book. Thank God I'm a fast reader, as her condition deteriorated rapidly, and she became bedridden and practically non-communicative within two days of the book's arrival. Although her body seemed ready for death, something seemed to be holding her back, causing her to become agitated. Using the clues in the book, I realized that she was waiting for my father to say good bye and to tell her he'd be okay. Once I convinced him to do this, she passed peacefully about six hours later, surrounded by those she loved.

Great guide and reference for MacBook Pro users This is from Mrs. Vollan who loves her new MacBook Pro. The book is very clear in explaining the features and options, but sometimes it assumes we know certain things, so some explanations do not start from "Step One" for those totally new to computers. The steps are numbered, and the illustrations and photos show these numbers, making it easy to read the steps and see which parts of the screen refer to the steps. The photos in color are very, very helpful. The rating would be five stars except the words in the illustrations/photos are very tiny, making a magnifier necessary.I was really disappointed in this Kindle-edition book I was really disappointed in this Kindle-edition book. It seems to me that an appropriate organization would be to begin with the questions one might have when starting a Mac computer up for the first time and proceed with that format in mind; namely, covering topics consistent with what is the specific set up process, then how to perform basic tasks, then how to set up a network, how to connect to the internet, etc.Instead, this book is a jumbled set of topics, appearing in no recognizable progression that relates to what a first-time MacBook user might ask. For a relatively expensive how-to book, it is not asking too much to have an index to find the location of specific topics. I found the omission of an index to be a lazy way of saying, "Hope you enjoy flipping back to the Table of Contents all the time, though you probably won't find what you need there." If you can find an answer to any questions you have, and that's a huge if, the actual explanations listed are pretty good once you find the pertinent entry. That's the only reason I gave this book two stars rather than one.So helpful! This is perfect for the visual learners. I instantly learned the solution to several annoying problems. Totally worth the purchase!
